Can you tell us about what you are working on? What is Useberry?
Useberry is an online user-testing tool that allows getting rich user feedback from the designs before the stage of development. This way, putting testing before coding, it enables UI/UX Designers, Product Managers & SME’s to swiftly build better digital experiences by integrating user testing in design, saving time and resources.
Why are you building this? Was there a particular source of inspiration or money-making idea?
Developing online products for more than 10 years now, both co-founders have experienced what it means for all entrepreneurs, whom we had the chance to work with, to share one common critical challenge; wasting too much time and money (seriously, loads of money) on coding, only to receive user feedback that proves that their product’s “final” version is far from final after all.
And then it hit us. We needed a tool to help designers and entrepreneurs test their ideas before coding, and get users’ feedback that will save them time, money and sweat.
And that’s exactly what happened – Useberry!
Time for bragging! How big you are – traffic, users, anything else?
Useberry is trusted by 2000+ companies at the moment. We notice that our traffic doubles every week and day by day more companies start using our platform.
Who are your main competitors, and how good/bad they are?
Companies like maze and usability hub are some of our competitors. Useberry differs from them as it provides integrations with the most known prototyping tools (Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Marvel) in combination with intuitive user testing experience. With Useberry, creating the ideal test was never easier. Users are able to select one of the available test types and swiftly collect precious feedback on their prototypes with Single Task, Multiple Tasks and Open Analytics, or a single screen with First Click and 5 Second Test.
They can get heatmaps, user-flows and drop-offs, video recordings, timebars and answers to open or multiple choice questions. Then they enjoy our powerful filtering to analyse the results like never before.

Were there any early ‘growth hacks’ or tactics that have contributed to your current success?
One growth hack strategy that helped us to grow our user base was to get listed in relevant marketplaces. It’s very important to get your company listed in the right place. We tried some such marketplaces and the one that worked well for us and proved useful was Product Hunt, which has a great community.
What were some of the biggest challenges while building Useberry early on and how did you solve them?
Our development team is specialized and we have been able to overcome all the technical challenges we have faced. Our primary challenge was how we can overcome any financial difficulties that would appear. Here we were lucky, as Useberry is supported by Metavallon, a €32 million venture capital firm that specializes in seed stage funding for technology companies.
If you could give a marketing advice to other companies, what could it be based on your experience?
We strongly advise them to prioritize content marketing. Content marketing helps companies reach customers at different stages of the funnel, increase lead generation capabilities and start building valuable relationships through content.
To make content marketing successful, it has to be of high quality. You have to make sure that your content is valuable and use your content to actually accomplish something, instead of just writing e.g. blog posts. Finally, you need to actively distribute it across multiple channels.
Which marketing channels you prefer and why?
Right now we distribute our content through social media, online communities and emails. Social media and online communities help you engage with your current or potential customers and build a strong relationship with them. Emails traditionally are the best way to keep updated your customers with your product. People say that email is dying, but our experience shows that generates qualified sales leads.
On the other hand, we are focused on developing the best product possible and providing top-notch customer service. This helps us to acquire every day more loyal and passionate customers who recommend our product to other people.
Is Useberry monetized? Why did you choose the current monetization method?
Yes, Useberry is monetized. Useberry is a SaaS company, and that’s the simple reason that we chose the current monetization method.
What are the top 5-10 products/services you use in your company and why do you like them?
In our everyday workflow we use the following:
- Slack: for all the communications between team members.
- Intercom: to manage leads and to communicate with our customers
- Airtable: to organize various types of data
- Asana: to manage the team’s work and tasks
- Sendgrid: for our transactional and marketing emails
- Google Analytics: to track all the traffic on our platform
