Can you tell us about what you are working on? What is GOJIVE?
GOJIVE is a real only dating application in India that facilitates blind dates between like minded people basis their preferences & an intelligent algorithm running at the backend to make dates between them.
Why are you building this? Was there a particular source of inspiration or money-making idea?
We wanted to create a platform that offers our customer a unique dating experience. The idea actually stemmed from an actual incident that happened with one of us. A blind date setup by one of the friends led to the question – why not create this experience for everyone
Also,People are getting tired of chatting and back-and- forth messaging sessions on existing dating apps. Creepy talks & sexting in the current dating apps are too daunting, hence to solve this problem to actually make dates between people
Time for bragging! How big you are – traffic, users, anything else?
We started working on this idea in 2015 (solving lot of complex issues) . 2 of us started this & now we are team of 6 . It is a bootstrap startup.
GOJIVE just been launched on July’17 and we are receiving tremendous amount of request and registrations.
So far 1000+ people have requested to have a blind date only from Delhi/NCR. We are getting request from other cities too but we are not operational there.
Who are your main competitors, and how good/bad they are?
We do not see anybody actually is our competitor as we are a unique concept in this dating world. I would not call others actually a dating application, they provide a chatting or a sexting platform.
GOJIVE set up real date between couples and we do not have any chatting mechanism, if you have to talk you have to meet that’s what we call a date.
Who uses GOJIVE? What is your perfect user?
GOJIVE is not for everybody i would say, it is only for like minded and fun loving youth who actually wants to socialize in this world & wants to keep learning, improving & enhancing themselves – this is what you do when you meet different personalities.
Our perfect users age group is 20 to 40 & especially females. It is because they are bored with these dating apps as they have been hijacked by common issues faced on any social media platforms – fake profiles. Sharing mobile numbers & revealing your identity to meet someone can be too troublesome
Were there any early ‘growth hacks’ or tactics that have contributed to your current success?
We have tied up with big brands to organise dates, that have helped GOJIVE to create that confidence in the youth.
What were some of the biggest challenges while building the product early on and how did you solve them?
We have faced many technical challenges as this application runs on a very complex backend coding. This application provides real time tracking of users & send them alert when other users reaches to their venue, you can chat with our customer services any time, we are very strict on our security hence each user is mandatory to submit aadhar card to proceed further.
If you could give a marketing advice to other companies, what could it be based on your experience?
Think out of the box. That simple!

Facebook is quite good as it has its own ways to target audience.
Are you monetized? If yes, then why did you choose the current monetization method?
Yes, we are however we are not driving any revenue as of now due to some legal contracts however this is one of the best revenue model i have ever seen with any dating application. Also there are many more to come – cant disclose 😉
